Joining BNK as Han Umji says, “It’s a turning point in my basketball life”

Han Eom-ji, who joined BNK, chose this season as a turning point in his basketball life.

Han Umji (180cm, F), who debuted in the 2017-2018 season, debuted at Shinhan Bank in Incheon. After that, he played an active role at Shinhan Bank until the 2021-2022 season. However, he joined Busan BNK ahead of last season. There has been a big change in Han Umji.바카라

He was given more chances than he had before. He played an average of 29 minutes in 30 appearances. It was the longest average playing time in his career. As much as he was given many opportunities, he lived up to them. He averaged 8.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per season, and he was a strong supporter of BNK’s forward line.

BNK, which Umji Han joined, established a starting lineup that led to Hyeji Ahn (165cm, G) – Sohee Lee (170cm, G) – Hanbyeol Kim (178cm, F) – Umji Han – Jinan (181cm, C), which became the best starting lineup in the league. With the performance of key players at the forefront, BNK finished second in the regular league and succeeded in advancing to the playoffs for the second year in a row.

In the playoffs, he met Yongin Samsung Life Insurance and won, achieving the great feat of advancing to the first championship match after its establishment.

When I asked Han Eom-ji, whom I met during the off-season, about his current situation, he said, “I think I exercised for a long time, but it’s been a month now. (Laughter) We do physical training in Busan and travel around the metropolitan area to keep pace. Now the national team players are back and we are practicing together.”

Later, Han Um-ji said that the transfer to BNK was a ‘turning point’ in his basketball life. “At Shinhan Bank, I was the younger brother. I just had to work with them, rely on them, and listen to them. But here I am in the middle. I have a younger brother and older sisters. Basketball is the same. Shinhan Bank had a lot of things to eat, but after the transfer to BNK, I had to score myself. He explained why he chose the BNK transfer as the turning point.

“At BNK, I took on the role of connecting the front and back lines. The front line has the troubles of the front line, and the back line has the troubles of the back line. After experiencing all of them, I came to know the difficulties and have been able to deliver them well. (Laughter) I think it helped the team that way.”

When asked about his goal for the next season, Han Eom-ji said, “If I focused on dirty work this season, I have to look at my attacks more next season. I want to show a good image of who I am with,” he said. “I played all 30 games this season. In fact, I didn’t know if I would run. (Laughs) Still, it was so good to see everyone run. Now that I know the secrets to taking care of my body, I want to play all 30 games next season as well,” he said, setting the goal of participating in all games.

Lastly, “I showed a good look this season, but there were many things that were lacking. We ended the interview with the determination, “I want to show a more developed image without being complacent.”
