The Incheon club announced on the 16th, “Kim Kwang-seok will work as a club scout after retiring from active duty. His retirement ceremony will be held at the home game against Suwon FC at the Incheon Stadium on April 22.”
Kim Gwang-seok is a legend of the K-League who started as a trainee and has been on the ground for 21 years since 2002. His career record in the K-League was 11 goals and 5 assists in 451 games.
Kim Kwang-seok said, “My 21-year active life is over. The countless fans who have supported me so far pass through my mind. I am happy to receive undeserved love. I sincerely thank everyone.”
Incheon explained, “We promised to treat Kim Kwang-seok, who devoted himself to the club for two years, and appointed him as a club scout to maximize the player’s abilities.”
At the retirement ceremony for Kim Gwang-seok, which will be held on April 22nd in Incheon, Incheon CEO Jeon Dal-soo, his family, and colleagues will deliver picture frames and bouquets of flowers, and will screen a video of his two years of activity in Incheon through an electronic display board.
